Concentrator refers to the machinery and equipment for re concentration of ore particles in the Centripetal force field, which is one of the high-efficiency re concentration machinery and equipment. According to records, the earliest industrial grade gravity concentrator in the world was the Hunty concentrator machine, which was patented in 1888 and applied in gold mining in Florida abroad. With the rapid development trend of modern science and technology, various new types of centrifugal concentrators have long been introduced. Roughly, contemporary centrifugal gravity concentrators can be divided into two major types, namely vertical centrifugal concentrators and column centrifugal concentrators.
The centrifugal gravity concentrator is mainly composed of screening structure and auxiliary structure.
(1) Sieve tissue. The cylindrical screen of a centrifugal gravity concentrator is its screening structure. The cylindrical screen is in the shape of a hollow cone platform, and the inclination of the inner surface of the cylindrical screen is 3-5. It can be made of cast steel parts, pig iron, or fiberglass anti-corrosion materials. The cylindrical screen is fixed on the shaft according to the car chassis and rotates with the shaft.
(2) Auxiliary organization. There are many auxiliary organizations in centrifugal gravity concentrators, which are composed of many key components such as feeding equipment, ore discharge equipment, cleaning equipment, and their posture system control equipment. The key component of a vertical centrifugal concentrator is a truncated cylindrical screen with a half taper of 3-5, which is fixed on the horizontal shaft by the car chassis and is driven and rotated by an electric motor based on a triangular belt.
